I am interested in the role of photography in creating cultural artifacts, and the relationship between memories and objects. Whether the objects in my photos—both natural and cultural--have personal meaning for me is not important; any narrative or memories evoked by these objects can only be inferred by the viewer.

I am honored to participate in Incubator Gallery’s important project to support Ukraine. The scenes of the tragedy are heartbreaking, and come to the world through brave journalists and their photographs. I am not brave, and I am not a journalist, but I am a photographer, and offer that as my small contribution to help the heroic people of Ukraine.

As citizens of the world, we have to help however we can.
