A new house, in a new neighborhood, in a new town.

To learn again to share space, to overcome the sense of displacement.

The stillness of early morning, finding space in the everyday.

Books and pictures and fresh laundry.

Flowers that survive only by miracle.

My daughter’s first haircut.

A room of one’s own.
